Voice Telecommunications - Least Cost Routing (LCR)

Least Cost Routing (LCR) is a simple process that reduces monthly telephone bills by finding the most cost effective way of routing phone calls. Both SME's (Small to Medium Enterprises) and large corporations are able to make use of this functionality, however, the more business calls you make, the greater your saving potential will be.
Least Cost Routing is available from CCS-Africa Telecom CC.
How Least Cost Routing works
Step 1: A person within an organisation picks up a desktop phone and dials a number
Step 2: The office PABX system interrogates the call and determines which network the call is intended for; whether it be landline (Telkom or Neotel), Cell C, MTN, Vodacom or International. This is driven by their respective prefixes. The PABX system will then re-route the call to the relevant router accordingly, thus acting like a mobile phone.
Step 3: The router makes the call at the least cost to the company and the call is received.
The router carries a standard cellphone SIM card (like a mobile phone) and can therefore only make one call at a time.
It is thus important to analyse the inner workings of your business to decide how many outgoing routers are needed to ensure optimal cost effectiveness and connectivity. If too few routers are installed, business could be lost as a result of busy tones. If too many routers are installed, the savings will be insignificant. CCS-Africa will do an in-depth analysis to give your company the best possible solution.
CCS-Africa Telecom CC can save your company on average of between 35 and 40 percent of your current Telkom bill by way of optimizing your current telecommunication infrastructure through the use of Least Cost Routing.
